Coins of Andorra
The Principality of Andorra, a microstate enclosed between the territories of Spain and France, has historically been economically dependent on these two states, and the people used French franc and Spanish peseta for the transactions. Since 1983 the Principality has coined its own currency, the Dinar, however the coins were only issued in series for collectors, and not for common use. In 2002 the country adopted the Euro even though it was not part of the European Union, in 2011 signed an agreement with EU and finally in 2014 started to mint its own Euro coins.
