2 Euro Commemorative coins Belgium 2012
10th anniversary of Euro
The Obverse depicts the Euro symbol in the centre of the globe, framed by various elements symbolising its importance in the various fields (the ECB tower indicating finance, the wind stations energy, the factories for the industrial world, the ship for trade, the houses and people as symbols of the population). At the top, starting from the left, we find the symbol of the mint director, the inscription 'BE', identifying Belgium, and the sign of the Brussels mint. At the bottom, in an arc, are the dates '2002 2012'. On the outer part are the 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value '2' on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription 'EURO'. Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.

75th anniversary of the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition
The Obverse, in the centre of the coin, shows the logo of the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition (an event founded by the Queen in 1937) superimposed on the profile of the Queen, facing to the left. At the bottom, to the right of the image, we find the inscription 'BE', identifying Belgium, while at the top, in an arc, are the dates '1937 2012'. At the bottom, again in an arc, is the inscription 'QUEEN ELISABETH COMPETITION' preceded on the left by the mintmaster's symbol and followed on the right by the mint mark.
