Missing Children's day
The Obverse depicts a child's face in the centre of the coin. The design is surrounded by three circular inscriptions: at the top 'BELGIQUE-BELGIE-BELGIEN' followed by the minting year '2016', on the left, towards the bottom 'MISSING-DISPARU-VERMIST' and on the right, also towards the bottom 'WWW.CHILDFOCUS.BE' (website of the Belgian foundation that deals with missing children and victims of violence and abuse). The inscriptions are divided, on the upper right, by the mint mark and, on the left, by the mint director's symbol. On the outer part are the 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value '2' on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription 'EURO'. Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
