2 Euro Commemorative coins Finland 2005
60th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations and 50th anniversary of Finland's UN membership
The obverse, in the centre of the coin, depicts the dove of peace made up of the pieces of a puzzle. At the bottom, in an arc, is the inscription 'FINLAND - UN' on the left and the minting year '2005' on the right, followed by the letter 'K', the engraver's initial. Below the image of the dove is the letter 'M', symbol of the mintmaster On the outer part 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the old common side of Euro coins, with the face value '2' on the left and the European Union (before its enlargement) on the right, overlapped by the inscription 'EURO'. Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription "YK 1945 - 2005 FN" in incuse followed by three lion heads.
