1st Centenary of the Introduction of Universal and Equal Suffrage
The Obverse depicts two vertically positioned and opposing faces, divided by a wavy line. On the left, in an arc, is '1.10.1906' (date of universal suffrage). On the right, again in an arc, is the inscription '20 FI 06' (the minting year divided by 'FI' identifying Finland). Next to the two faces are the mintmaster's symbol ('M') on the upper left and the author's initial ('M') on the lower right. On the outer part 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the old common side of Euro coins, with the face value '2' on the left and the European Union (before its enlargement) on the right, overlapped by the inscription 'EURO'. Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription "SUOMI FINLAND" in incuse followed by three lion heads.
