90th anniversary of the death of Eino Leino
On the Obverse, in the centre of the coin, a flame is depicted, which on the left appears to form the outline of a face, while tongues of fire shoot upwards. Immediately below the flame can be seen a poker pointing upwards to the right. At the bottom, divided by the lower part of the device, are the initials 'FI' identifying Finland and the mintmark. To the right of the design are the circular inscription 'Eino Leino' (Finnish poet and journalist) and, immediately above the word 'Leino', the minting year. On the outer part 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value '2' on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription 'EURO'. Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription "SUOMI FINLAND" in incuse followed by three lion heads.

The Obverse depicts a Doric column on the right and an oak branch on the left. At the top is the mintmark with the minting year placed above the design of the column. Also at the top, inside the branch, is the initials 'FI' identifying Finland. The circular inscription 'GEORG HENRIK VON WRIGHT' (Finnish philosopher) is impressed from left to right along the edge. On the outer part 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union.
