50 years of Franco-German Friendship (Élysée Treaty)
On the Obverse, the portraits of the signatories of the treaty: on the left Charles De Gaulle with his signature and mintmark below, on the right Konrad Adenauer with his signature and mintmaster's symbol below. Between the two faces we find the inscription '50 ANS JAHRE 2013'; at the top the inscription 'TRAITÉ DE L'ÉLYSÉE' and at the bottom the inscription 'ÉLYSÉE - VERTRAG' and the initials 'RF' (Republique Francaise). On the outer part are the 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with six "2" in incuse (repeated alternately from bottom to top and vice versa) and twelve five-pointed stars.

150th anniversary of the birth of Pierre de Coubertin
On the Obverse, slightly shifted to the right, is a portrait of Pierre de Coubertin, on the left the Olympic circles motif frames four athletes. Above, in an arc, we find the inscription 'PIERRE DE COUBERTIN', on the lower right the symbol of the mint director and on the lower left the mintmark of the Paris mint; also on the left, slightly above, the initials 'RF' and the year '2013' enclosed within one of the circles.
