25 years of Breast cancer awareness
The Obverse depicts the bust of a woman whose breast is covered and symbolically protected by a hand holding the Pink Ribbon. For 25 years, the Pink Ribbon has been the emblem of the fight against breast cancer, and since 15 years the Pink Ribbon Award has also been established to support research. On the right is the circular inscription '25e ANNIVERSAIRE DU RUBAN ROSE' (25th ANNIVERSARY OF THE PINK RIBBON). Also on the right, between the inscription and the image are engraved, one below the other, the mint mark, the year '1992', the minting year '2017', the initials 'RF' (Republique Francaise) and the symbol of the director of the Paris Mint. On the outer part are the 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO".
