2 Euro Commemorative coins France 2022
90th Anniversary of Jacques Chirac's birth and 20th Anniversary of the entry in circulation of the Euro
The Obverse, on the left-hand side of the coin, depicts the profile of the 22nd President of the French Republic, Jacques Chirac, one of the main proponents of the establishment of the European Union and one of the major promoters of the introduction of the Euro. The design is completed by the Euro symbol, which is partially superimposed on the President's effigy and which, at the bottom, has the arched inscription "JACQUES CHIRAC", followed by the years of the politician's birth and death "1932" and "2019", written one below the other, and by the French flag, depicted in heraldic colours, with the initials "RF" (Republique Francaise) on the right-hand side. At the top, again on the right-hand side and within the Euro logo, is the minting year, while at the bottom, the symbol of the Paris Mint and that of the author can be seen, placed one below the other. On the outer part are the 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.

35 years of the Erasmus Programme
The Obverse depicts two key elements of the Erasmus programme, a European Union student mobility project aimed at university students. On the right is Erasmus of Rotterdam (Dutch humanist and philosopher), in one of his best-known portraits, after whom the programme was named because of his numerous journeys throughout Europe, with the aim of learning about its different cultures. The effigy of the theologian is superimposed on a net that crosses the coin from one point to the other, which is intended to represent the cultural and human exchanges between European students; on the left-hand side, thanks to a special type of graphics, the number '35' appears (to identify the 35th anniversary). Superimposed over the portrait are the circular inscriptions '1987-2022', 'ERASMUS' and 'PROGRAMME' on three lines, while adjacent to the inner border, to the left of the inscription, are the symbol of the Paris mint and that of the author. Above the philosopher's right hand are the author's initials 'J.J.' and, immediately above them, the initials 'RF' (Republique Francaise).

Paris Olympics 2024: the discus throw
The Obverse depicts, in the foreground, the winged Genius of Liberty, in the plastic pose of the discus. The image is superimposed on a portion of the Arc de Triomphe on the left and an athletics track on the right, on which the 'Paris 2024' logo is stamped. On the left, inside the Arc, is the initials 'RF' (Republique Francaise). On the lower part, note: to the left of the Arc de Triomphe column is the symbol of the Paris Mint, at the foot of the column is the minting year and to the right of the column is the author's symbol. This coin is the second in a series that the Monnaie de Paris is dedicating to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where a combination of Parisian heritage and French numismatic heritage will be represented.
