2 Euro Commemorative coins France 2023
Paris Olympics 2024: boxing
The obverse depicts, in the foreground, the Sower (a French symbol, much present in national numismatics) wearing boxing gloves, represented in the act of boxing; in the background is the Pont Neuf and the adjacent area, a classic panorama of the Ile de la Cité in Paris. The design is superimposed on an athletics track that stretches across the entire inner part of the coin. Inside the image, there are: on the right, the minting year and further down, the 'Paris 2024' logo, while on the left, the initials 'RF' (Republique Francaise). In the lower part, the symbol of the Paris Mint and that of the author can be seen to the left and right of the Sower's feet respectively. On the outer part are the 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image. This coin is the third in a series that the Monnaie de Paris is dedicating to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where a combination of Parisian heritage and French numismatic heritage will be represented.

2023 Rugby World Cup
The Obverse depicts a stylised rugby player as he runs with the ball; the playing field beneath his feet is a globe, with goal posts planted at the ends and a starry sky with two oval planets at the top (an imaginary representation of the rugby world). At the top is the circular inscription 'COUPE DU MONDE RUGBY FRANCE 2023'. In the lower part, to the left of the figure, is the logo of the event with the name of the event 'COUPE DU MONDE RUGBY FRANCE 2023' underneath, written on three lines. Also at the bottom, on the right, superimposed on the globe and inside one of the doors, is the initials 'RF' (Republique Francaise), enclosed between the symbol of the Paris mint on the left and that of the author on the right.
