50th anniversary of the signing of the Élysée Treaty
On the Obverse, the portraits of the signatories of the treaty: on the left Charles De Gaulle with his signature below, on the right Konrad Adenauer with always his signature and mintmark below, which may relate to one of the following 5 mints:
- A - Berlin
- D - Munich
- F - Stuttgart
- G - Karlsruhe
- J - Hamburg
Between the two faces is the inscription '50 ANS JAHRE 2013'. At the top is the inscription 'TRAITÉ DE L'ÉLYSÉE', while at the bottom is the inscription 'ÉLYSÉE - VERTRAG' with the initials 'D' identifying Germany at its side. On the outer part are the 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription 'EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT' (concord, justice and freedom) followed by the emblem of the federal eagle, in incuse.

Baden-Württemberg: Maulbronn Monastery
The Obverse depicts the Monastery of Maulbronn, a monastery complex dating back to 1147, with the engraver's initials to the lower left, while still below, but to the right, is the inscription representing the German Länd to which the coin refers, i.e. BADEN-WÜTTEMBERG. Further down, below the inscription, is the D sign identifying Germany. At the top is the minting year, to the right the mintmark, which can be related to one of the following five mints:
