EU Presidency
The Obverse depicts, in the centre of the coin, the official logo of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. At the top is the circular inscription "LATVIJAS PREZIDENTŪRA ES PADOMĒ" (Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU), while at the bottom is the Presidency's website "EU2015.LV", written in an arc. On the outside part are placed 12 five-pointed stars, representing the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription "DIEVS * SVETI * LATVIJU" ("God bless Latvia" in Latvian).

30th Anniversary of the European Union flag
The Obverse, in the centre of the coin, depicts the flag of the European Union surrounded by twelve human figures into which the twelve stars have been symbolically transformed, representing the creation of a new Europe. The design was selected through an internet vote by the citizens of the European Union. At the top is the circular inscription "LATVIJA" followed on the right by the years "1985-2015" written in an arc. Also on the right, further down, are the author's initials. On the outside part are placed 12 five-pointed stars, representing the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
