2 Euro Commemorative coins Lithuania 2015
30th Anniversary of the European Union flag
The Obverse, in the centre of the coin, depicts the flag of the European Union surrounded by twelve human figures into which the twelve stars have been symbolically transformed, representing the creation of a new Europe. The design was selected through an internet vote by the citizens of the European Union. At the top is the circular inscription "LIETUVA" followed on the right by the years "1985-2015" written in an arc. Also on the right, between the design and the years, is the mintmark "LMK", while further down are the author's initials. On the outside part are placed 12 five-pointed stars, representing the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription "LAISVE' VIENYBE' GEROVE'" ("Freedom, Unity, Prosperity" in Lithuanian) interspersed with three stars.

Lithuanian Language
On the Obverse, in the foreground, is the Lithuanian word "AČIŪ" (meaning "Thank you") using an original Lithuanian character. In the background are all the letters of the Lithuanian language, arranged as in a tag cloud. The subject of the coin is intended to commemorate the centenary of the reintroduction of Lithuanian printing. In the lower part is the inscription "LIETUVA" with the mintmark underneath, while immediately below the inscription, to the right, is the mintmark.
