175th anniversary of the death of Grand Duke Guillaume II
On the Obverse, the right-hand side of the coin depicts the effigy of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke Henri, facing to the left, while on the left, the equestrian statue of Grand Duke Guillaume II, located in the city of Luxembourg, is represented. The circular inscriptions "GROUSSHERZOGE VU LËTZEBUERG" and "GUILLAUME II 1792-1849", written one below the other, are engraved on the upper left. On the right hand side, between the effigy of Grand-Duke Henri and the inner edge, the French mintmark and the symbol of the author Joaquin Jimenez can be seen (there is a variant with regard to the mint symbol: on the BU coincard, BU sets and on the mint sets Proof there is the mark of the Dutch mint and the symbol of the Dutch mint director). Also on the right-hand side, below the effigy of Grand Duke Henri, is the minting year with the number "175" underneath (both extend partially into the outer ring). In the lower part, below a horizontal line, are the initials of the author Chiara Principe "CP". On the outside part are placed 12 five-pointed stars, representing the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with six "2" in incuse (repeated alternately from bottom to top and vice versa) and twelve five-pointed stars.

100th anniversary of the introduction of the franc coins with the Feierstëppler
On the Obverse, in the centre of the coin, is the anniversary number "100". The first "0" depicts the Luxembourg 1 franc coin, issued in 1924, showing a worker in the steel industry, while the second "0" shows the monogram of Grand Duke Henri (the crowned letter 'H'). In the upper part is the circular inscription "LËTZEBUERG" with the minting year underneath.
