On the Obverse is a portrait of the sovereign of Luxembourg, Grand Duke Henri, facing to the right. In incuse on the collar is the engraver's signature. On the outside part, to the right, are 12 five-pointed stars, the symbol of the European Union, while to the left is the inscription "LËTZEBUERG", with the minting year underneath, enclosed between the mintmark (at the top) and the mintmaster's mark (at the bottom). The coin's Reverse is the old common side of Euro coins, with the face value "20 EURO CENT" on the center-right part and the European Union (before its enlargement) on the left. Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
