On the Obverse is a portrait of the sovereign of Luxembourg, Grand Duke Henri, facing to the right. In incuse on the collar is the engraver's signature. On the outside part, at the top, are placed 12 five-pointed stars, representing the European Union, while at the bottom are the inscription "LËTZEBUERG", followed by the mintmaster's mark, the minting year and the mintmark. The coin's Reverse is the common side of Euro coins, with the face value "5 EURO CENT" and the image of Europe's place in the world. Six diagonal lines with a star at each end are placed behind the globe.
