Maltese Euro coins
Maltese Euro coins features three different design on the obverse, namely the temple of Menaidra for the 1 2 and 5 cent pieces, the coat of arms of the Republic of Malta for the values of 10 20 and 50 cents and the Maltese Cross for the 1 and 2 Euro coins.
The selection of the designs took place through a public consultation in which all Maltese citizens were able to participate. On the reverse, like every other minting in Euro, the coins present the face common to all nations.
The Maltese Euro coins are minted by the Mint of France (2008 and from 2016 to date), and by the Dutch Mint (from 2009 to 2015).
