20th anniversary of Foundation of the Visegrád Group
The Obverse depicts the outlines of the states belonging to the Visegràd Group: the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. Superimposed on the design is a composite "V", indicating the above mentioned Group. To the lower left is the minting year and to the right the inscription "SLOVENSKO" with the engraver's signature and mintmark below it. Around, in an arc, the inscription "VISEHRADSKÁ SKUPINA • VISEGRAD GROUP 15.2.1991". On the outer part 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription "SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA" and two stars interspersed with a lime leaf.
