2 Euro Commemorative coins Slovakia 2020
20 years of Slovakian membership in the OECD
The Obverse depicts a stylised human brain, formed by the electrical circuits of a computer and, in the central part, by a circle (the computer's microprocessor) symbolising the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), which coordinates operations between European states. The design also consists of a square intersecting the components of the stylised brain, inside which is the four-line inscription "20 VÝROČIE VSTUP SR DO OECD". Outside the square are, at the bottom, the inscription "SLOVENSKO", with the minting year underneath, and to the left, the author's initials "PV" followed at the bottom by the mintmark "MK". To the bottom right, between the image elements and the inner border, is the coat of arms of the Slovak Republic. On the outer part 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription "SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA" and two stars interspersed with a lime leaf.
