Coins of Slovenia
The Republic of Slovenia reached independence on 25 June 1991, with the dissolution of Yugoslavia, and after a few months replaced the old currency, the Yugoslav Dinar, with its own currency, the Slovenian Tolar. The new currency was legal tender until the country entered the Eurozone in 2007, first state among those belonging to Eastern Europe to adopt the Euro.
Since it does not have a national mint, the coins of Slovenia has always minted in other countries. The most recent Euro coins are minted by the Italian mint of Rome.
