50th anniversary of the Signature of the Treaty of Rome
The Obverse depicts in the centre the design of the Treaty, surmounted by the word "EUROPA", signed by the six founding countries of the European Economic Community, with the paving of the Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome in the background. At the top, set in an arc on two lines, the inscription "RIMSKA POGODBA 50 LET". At the bottom, again in an arc, the inscription "SLOVENIJA", with immediately above it the minting year. On the outer part 12 five-pointed stars, symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value "2" on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription "SLOVENIJA •"
