Vatican Euro coins

All Vatican Euro coins features on the obverse a single subject for all values, namely the portrait of the Pope. In the values coined from 2002 to 2005 is depicted Pope John Paul II, in those from 2006 to 2013 there is the effigy of Pope Benedict XVI, finally in those issued from 2014 there is the portrait of Pope Francis. A set of coins was also issued in 2005, which commemorated the Vacant Seat of that year. On the reverse side, like any other Euro issue, the design is common to all nations.
All coins are minted by the Italian Mint of Rome.
